FLOODING IN VALENCIA

A hundred evacuees , suspended classes and transport affected by the rains in Valencia and Castellon

The heavy rains that raged on the Mediterranean coast forced the classes to cancel on friday 

21st of october  in 140 municipalities of the Valencian community and in the three universities of Valencia and Castellon.

Since thursday afternoon, a hundred people have been evicteir from their homes because of the risk of flooding and firefighters have rescued the occupants of some thirty vehicles.

The rainfall, which discharged up to 240 liters of water per square meter in 24 hours in Torreblanca and 235 in El Palmar, left steets and flooded squares in many municipalities, cut roads, caused delays in the train that links Valencia and Barcelona interrupted the MetroValencia service.

The city dawned on friday with less activity than usual, although the level of alert decreased and it was expected that the intensity of the rains was foing to decrease throughout the day.

HURRICANE LESLIE ARRIVED IN PORTUGAL

TOTAL ALERT SITUATION THIS WEEKEND

 On Saturday 13th of October , hurricane Leslie caused a red alert in Portugal because the weather was going to be rainy and windy after it passed throurh Madeira

Leslie was the worst hurricane to arrive in Portugal since 1842, it entered through Lisboa and travelled at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour to the northeast.

The National Authority of Civil Protection asked the Portuguese not to go out during the hours of the hurricane and to remove the cars from under the trees so thet they wouldn´t break.

Most wanted rapist arrested

He had been hiding for three years after raping his stepdaughter repeatedly

Esteban Vacas Garcia, who was born in Salamanca, had been hiding in his mother´s house when they arrested him in Salamanca in 2006 for the repeated rape of his stepdaughter in 2003.

His mother continues to say that he is innocent, in spite of being condemned to 16 years of prison.

She says that it is a fake denounciation and she blames his ex partner for letting her daughter go partying.

El 2 de Mayo es un día especial porque es el día mundial contra el Bullying. Hoy en día, muchos jóvenes no se sienten seguros en la escuela por culpa del acoso,  no solo se produce en las escuelas también por el mundo digital.Los países con el mayor índice de acoso escolar son Estados unidos (10%) y México (10,1%). En los últimos años, uno de cada tres adolescentes de entre 13 y 15 años de todo el mundo se han sentido acosados y han sufrido algún tipo de peleas físicas . Una de las razones por las que los jóvenes sufren acoso es por su físico, su género o por alguna discapacidad. Los jóvenes que experimentan el acoso,son más propensos al consumo de alcohol o drogas, tener malas calificaciones,experimentar baja autoestima o en en el caso extremo, el suicidio. Según la ONU, tres de cada diez estudiantes de todo el mundo reconocen haber acosado a sus compañeros.Aunque los niños y niñas corren el mismo riesgo de sufrir acoso escolar, las niñas son más probables que experimenten violencia psicológica y los niños violencia física y amenazas.

ACOSO ESCOLAR EN ESPAÑA:España es el tercer país con menor índice de violencia en las escuelas, y Murcia es la ciudad con el mayor índice de acoso escolar. Aunque España sea uno de los países con el menor índice de violencia,eso no quiere decir que haya tenido casos de suicidio.El último caso de suicidio fue el 10 de Enero del 2017 en Murcia sobre una niña llamada Lucia, que sufría bullying por culpa de sus compañeros de clase.Le insultaban, le pegaban hasta que decidió terminar con su vida.Unicef propone una serie de medidas urgentes para acabar con la violencia en las escuelas.Una de ellas es la implementación de políticas y legislaciones que protejan a los menores de este problema,además de reforzar las medidas de prevención y respuestas en las escuelas.

Arrested dangerous offender in zaragoza

He was arrested at the bus stationThe national police arrested Benito Ortiz Perez in Zaragoza in October.The dangerous offender escaped at dawn on Agust 29, while the authority was talking to him to Zuera prision by ambulace.He was located in a bus station in Zaragoza where he was trying to catch a bus to go to Valencia. The police said that a guard the area suspected him when he asked for his personal documents and he got very nervous.Benito was arrested for kidnapping a woman in Aragon in 2016.
