FLOODING IN VALENCIA

A hundred evacuees , suspended classes and transport affected by the rains in Valencia and Castellon

The heavy rains that raged on the Mediterranean coast forced the classes to cancel on friday 

21st of october  in 140 municipalities of the Valencian community and in the three universities of Valencia and Castellon.

Since thursday afternoon, a hundred people have been evicteir from their homes because of the risk of flooding and firefighters have rescued the occupants of some thirty vehicles.

The rainfall, which discharged up to 240 liters of water per square meter in 24 hours in Torreblanca and 235 in El Palmar, left steets and flooded squares in many municipalities, cut roads, caused delays in the train that links Valencia and Barcelona interrupted the MetroValencia service.

The city dawned on friday with less activity than usual, although the level of alert decreased and it was expected that the intensity of the rains was foing to decrease throughout the day.

HURRICANE LESLIE ARRIVED IN PORTUGAL

TOTAL ALERT SITUATION THIS WEEKEND

 On Saturday 13th of October , hurricane Leslie caused a red alert in Portugal because the weather was going to be rainy and windy after it passed throurh Madeira

Leslie was the worst hurricane to arrive in Portugal since 1842, it entered through Lisboa and travelled at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour to the northeast.

The National Authority of Civil Protection asked the Portuguese not to go out during the hours of the hurricane and to remove the cars from under the trees so thet they wouldn´t break.

Arrested dangerous offender in zaragoza

He was arrested at the bus stationThe national police arrested Benito Ortiz Perez in Zaragoza in October.The dangerous offender escaped at dawn on Agust 29, while the authority was talking to him to Zuera prision by ambulace.He was located in a bus station in Zaragoza where he was trying to catch a bus to go to Valencia. The police said that a guard the area suspected him when he asked for his personal documents and he got very nervous.Benito was arrested for kidnapping a woman in Aragon in 2016.

A MAN STEALS APLANE

The mechanic of the airline ended up crashing it  into the ground

A worker in an airline, stole the Bombardier Q400 made in Canada, at the Seattle international airport. When the central office got the news, they sent two army planes that took off from Portland.

The event took place on 11th August 2018. This type of plane can transort 76 people butluckily it was empty. The author of the event was the mechanic of the airline who was 29 acted alone and he didn´t have terrorist intentions.

In the social media we can see how the plane was doing pirouettes in the air and chased by an F-15. 15 minutes later, it crushed in an island. The population of the island is 20 people, but it was empty.

Stephen Curry copied a move to Navarro

He did it in the Basketball Championship in 2010

In the 2010 world basketball championship, in Turkey, Stephen Curry copied a move to Navarro called "la bomba". He saw it and he thought that it was a great move so he decided to copy it. Then, some days later, he acknowledged in Jugones, that he had copied.

korrika

Organised by AEK , korrika is a race for the Basque language that wends its way through the basque country. Its objetive is twofold: on the one hand , to promote awareness of the need to speak basque and on the other , to raise funds that will enable the AEKBasque language schoolto continue their teaching work.

since the first Korrika run in 1980 , from Oñati to Bilbao , the event has become one of the most important initiatives in support of the Basque language given the enormous number of people who participate in it . There haev now been 20 edition of Korrika in the last 38 years . It covers more than 2,000 km in 11 days for the Basque language, not stopping for a moment and wiht the participation of hunderds of thousands of people of all ages and condition .

As they run , the participants carry a baton which they pass from hand to hand , kilometre upon kilometre . Inside the baton is a message which won `t be reaveled until the very end of the run , when it will be read out.

SYRIA WAR

In December 2010, the police confiscated a young vendor´s post. This sparked several demonstrations in Tunisia thet injcreased as time passed. More counries began to protest too. Spread like a virus in several countries and it reached Syria.

In Syria some youngsters were imprisioned for drawing graffiti against President Assad on the wwall of their school. For the same reason the demons-trations spread and the security forces attacked the civilians. Then, the rebels took their arms and they attacked. The war of Syria was started.
Sincethen, hundreds of thousands of people have died and it has become the most relevant international crisis of the last years showing the tensions between Russia and The West.
